Our Story

Brad Deery Motors was established in Maquoketa in 1985 when John Deery Sr, and his nephew, Brad Deery partnered to purchase Rasmussen Motor Sales, the local General Motors dealer. In December of 1987, the Deerys purchased the local Chrysler dealer of Kirk and Otting. In December of 1995, shares of John Sr. were given to his sons John Jr. and Dan. Today, the trio of John Jr., Dan and Brad Deery make up one of the largest automotive groups in Iowa.

While not selling cars, we like to be involved  in community events. Brad Deery Motors is a proud sponsor of the Jackson County Fair, Jackson County Pro Rodeo, IMCA Deery Summer Racing Series, the Maquoketa YMCA, Maquoketa Chamber of Commerce, and many other local charitable events and school activities. Our way to say "Thank You," to the people who have helped us be where we are today.

Brad Deery Motors strives to offer the area's largest selection, with an average of 800 vehicles to chose from. We are so confident in our prices that our motto has become, "The Only Deal We Can't Beat Is The One We Don't See."
